Class Experience

This is a 8-session class taught by video lessons.
All lessons will be recorded and posted and materials are provided. You will have homework to practice some skills.
At the end of this 4-week course you can expect to be able to do the following:
Week 1
-Greet people and make small talk
-Create simple questions such as How are you? What is your name?
Week 2
-Learn colors
-Watch a Russian cartoon and learn more
Week 3
-Discuss food and meals
-Talk about family members
-Count up to 20
Week 4
-Discuss colors in a conversation
I also explain one Russian salad with beets (vinegret) and  Russian cuisine. 

Students need to share their work via the Outschool classroom and they will participate in weekly classroom teacher/peer discussions in the Outschool classroom. I will assign interactive activities weekly where each student has a different partner every week. The students will exchange audio or video clips where they ask each other questions using new vocabulary. Also, we will play interactive game "I have/What do you have?". Each student will create a short personal story and post it in the classroom during the last week of instruction. All assignments and audio/video clips will be reviewed by me and short feedback will be offered as soon as possible.
I use Kahoots and Pear desk software to practice the grammar and vocabulary checking for understanding.
 I am always available via email and I am happy to make myself available for a live chat right after the student finished the lesson. I offer live office consultations by your request as well.
