Students will be introduced to a virtual calendar, engaging movement activities, songs, literacy and math-based activities. Each student will participate and share during discussions to practice conversational and public speaking skills!

In this online course, students will be introduced to a virtual calendar, engaging movement activities, songs, literacy and math-based activities. Each student will have the opportunity to participate and share during discussions to practice conversational and public speaking skills! What will be taught? Days of the week (Virtual Calendar), Letter of the day, Number of the day, Songs, Participating in movement-based activities and whole-group discussions. Students will learn the ability to be flexible thinkers and will learn to embrace the similarities and differences between one another. How is your class structured? A "Good-morning" song, A Question of the day (this is where students will be able to participate in discussion), Virtual Calendar (Days of the week, literacy and math will be included into the calendar: counting, number I.D, letter I.D), Letter of the day with a literacy-based activity, Number of the day (Counting activity and movement activity), Read Aloud (if time permits), and a Goodbye Song. How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? Slides, Discussions, and limited video clips (Example: Movement based activity) Any required experience or knowledge learners need? No - Basic knowledge of letters and numbers will help!

Students will be provided with all of the material via screen share (A virtual calendar (Starfall), Slides, and movement-based videos).

Hello! My name is Miss. Danielle and I'm a general education preschool teacher in NYC. I have my Masters in General and Special Education and I'm a NYS certified teacher. Prior to working at a preschool, I provided 1:1 and small-group services to children with different abilities. It was truly my passion and I look forward to returning to a special education setting soon.
On this awesome website Outschool, I will be teaching a preschool morning meeting. This is where I will incorporate songs, literacy, math, movement, and social/emotional learning into the 30-40 minute session. I will encourage each student to participate and share while working on public speaking skills.
I am a patient and understanding educator. I believe each student deserves an equal opportunity to succeed in school. As a person who loves learning, I admire watching others learn.
