We will begin each class with a movement, dance or other group activity of some kind. We will also play a few rounds of an improv acting game! 

Then, students will create stories together with me as a class. We will act out the story as we create it to ensure high engagement. Learners can expect a fun, high energy class with many laughs! We will be in full imagination mode together enjoying the creating process where anything can happen in a story. In each class, we will focus on the story elements (characters, setting, plot, problem and solution). 

Please note, there is not a weekly breakdown of content because each class will be infused with the same learning goals, and each class will be learner directed. These goals are character development, setting description, adding details in a sequence (plot), elaborating on a problem as well as a solution. This class will greatly help emergent writers because they need to first be able to tell stories orally before writing them on paper.
