Pieter Bruegel was born in 1525 and was a famous renaissance artist like Da Vinci and Michelangelo, but unlike these Italian artists, he lived further North, in the Netherlands. His nickname was “Peasant Bruegel,” as he would often don peasant’s clothing and attend social gatherings and weddings, in order to mingle and interact with the locals, and gain insight...
