About the whole course: -After each class, I provide a classroom post that features: -What we did in class -What's up next -Suggested but not mandatory homework -The homework isn't mandatory, and I'll ask you to show me at the beginning of each class so I can check your work. You're not in trouble with me if you don't do the homework, but you will get better results from the class when you complete all of the work! -For each class, please be prepared with lined paper, a pencil, a stable surface to write on, and yourself! -Because the classes are so short, please make sure you've prepared a few minutes before the class starts so that you can get the most out of our time together. This is a rough idea of what happens in each class, but this can vary, as each class is customized to help each student work towards their goals. The largest class size is two students, and if you want a private class, feel free to send me a message and I can make it happen. Class 1: How do I start? -I'll ask you about your cursive goals so I can help you best! -If you've learned cursive before, I'll ask what's still challenging about it. -If you're completely new, that's also perfectly alright, and you'll learn a great deal! -I'll get you started with good writing habits -To be honest, this class is a little slow and basic, but it is worth spending the time at the beginning to set you up for success with good writing habits and knowing how to use a cursive formation guide Class 2: Alright, so now what? -I'll ask to see your homework! -Our second day of class is when things get a little faster -We'll tackle the lower case alphabet along with letter connections -This class is much faster than the first, so be sure to be prepared! Class 3: That wasn't so bad! -I'll ask to see your homework! -If we haven't finished our lower case alphabet, we'll finish it today -We'll move on to the tricky upper case letters Class 4: What's next for me? -I'll ask to see your homework! -We'll finish up anything we haven't yet completed -We'll practice what you need to work on -I'll set you up as well as I can for using cursive independently, checking your own work, and maintaining good writing habits

I've taught my own original curriculum at a high-end private training school for six years, and now I'm working independently to offer my courses online! I have an Honors Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and am TESOL Certified.
I value students learning by having fun and connecting to stories both academically and through life experience. I'm also a lover of debates! I believe in encouraging students to hone their existing strengths and interests to thrive in an academic environment.
I've taught everything from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to 1984, but my ultimate favorite to teach is anything Harry Potter! Critical thinking is also another one of my favorite things to teach.
