Class Experience
Struggling with remembering all of the rules for integer operations? Then, this lesson is for you! In this one time course, we will practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers (positive and negative numbers). The goal is to help students become more comfortable with the rules for each integer operation. As an added bonus, students will reveal missing letters to a quote from a Disney movie as they complete each practice problem. Lesson Format: Introductions/Icebreaker (5...
Students will add, subtract, multiply, and divide integers.
Having taught sixth grade mathematics for seven years as a classroom teacher, I know that it can be tough for students to remember all of the computation rules for integers. Many students would benefit from a quick refresher of the rules as well as extra practice outside of the classroom. It is important to have a strong foundation in integer operations for 7th grade and beyond.
The student can complete the remaining problems to the practice activity. The answer key will be provided.
Students will need paper, a pencil, and an eraser.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
