This is for kids who have been in full body yoga workout for awhile, and are ready to level up to more difficult exercises and more challenging yoga poses. A lot of kids in my "Full Body Yoga Workout" class have been asking to do more advanced yoga poses and fitness exercises. This Intermediate-Advanced level class increases the intensity from the original Full Body Yoga Workout class in two ways. 1) By incorporating more challenging yoga poses in the yoga sequence 2) Adding more challenging bodyweight exercises to the cardio game in the middle of the class As usual, I lead learners in a traditional yoga sequence to warm up and build body awareness. Using the 'Sweat Deck' game, we also incorporate some body weight exercises to increase the heart rate and improve overall strength and flexibility. This is a full body workout will help you build healthy habits, get that much needed exercise and learn how to move your body safely to get the best results. 50 minute class breakdown: 5 minutes: welcome 15 minutes: active yoga sequence 5 minutes: break 15 minutes: cardio blast 10 minutes: slow yoga cool down
Learning Goals
Overall health and fitness, including strength, flexibility, and balance. This class gets into more advanced poses like arm balances and inversions. We will also up the intensity of the cardio game. We will aim to go for 12-15 minutes with the Sweat Deck rather than our usual 10 minutes.
