Class Experience

*The student will be able to identify and create four new instruments using supplies found in their house.
*The student will be able to practice creating sounds, rhythms, tempos, and dynamics with their new instruments.
*The student will be able to improve their understanding of how instruments work and the history behind these instruments.
Our Camp projects will be completed as a group. Students may need additional time outside of camp to add finishing details. The goal is for each student to have the main portion of the instrument completed during class.

Informal assessment is completed during the Peer Engagement portions of the Camp.
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please ensure your learner have scissors and craft supplies that are safe for their age and appropriate for the location they'll be participating in. If your learner is using paints, markers, etc. make sure they are in appropriate clothing and have the area covered.

Youtube: Youtube links will be embedded into my presentations. These links will be age appropriate and represent the parts of an instrument, sounds of an instrument and on occasion historical facts.
Chrome Music Lab: Learners will have time to explore the Chrome Music Lab during class time, this is a kid friendly website with various instruments that can be played on the computer. No advertisements or cost to the learner.
1. We will use Youtube and Amazon Music for audio/video clips appropriate to each instrument.
2. We will use Chrome Music Lab to explore instrument sounds and for additional tech fun outside of class.
