"Inspiring Hearts" Mindful Movement and Yoga Flow - Self Love (Ages 7-10)

Based on a monthly focus, we learn a Stretching Routine, several Yoga-based poses and an incorporative Yoga Flow to music. I begin and end each class with my sound bowl. We conclude with Positive Affirmation suggestions for our week.

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Aside from learning and experiencing the benefits of Yoga-based Movement, I strive to encourage and assist children learn sensory and emotional awareness, coping skills, beneficial breathing, social interaction, positive reinforcement, whole body health, acceptance, inclusiveness, as well as the timeless medicine of fun and laughter.
Homework is not a part of this class.  However, I do provide the benefit of a video of the Yoga Flow learned in class as well as Positive Affirmation suggestions for the week if the learner so desires to utilize them.
Yoga mats are optional.  Though many who practice yoga prefer to not wear shoes, a non-slip surface and appropriate footwear is recommended as well as having a water bottle nearby during activity.  Parental guidance during movement is also recommended.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
