Class Experience
Welcome to Women in History! In this 8 week class, we will explore a brief biography of different women in history, their life, the society and culture that shaped them, and what contributions they made in their field. We will discuss how their lives would be different if they had been born in different times and cultures and what shaped them into achieving their goals. Each week we will explore a different powerful woman from history. The first half of the class will be a power point...
Students will learn about different cultures, era's, and how women overcame social expectations and norms.
I have been an educator on Outschool since February of 2018. I have my MBA and MHA, both of which have taught me the value of conducting research and asking questions. I have a passion for history and learning. You can usually find me in the middle of 2-3 books or watching a documentary.
Students will be given 3-5 options per week to choose for homework projects. These could be a short 1-2 paragraph research paper, a movie to view, or a webpage to read.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
There may be some Youtube videos that are seen during this class. I will share my screen and learners will not need to access them on their own.
