Harp lessons from the Italian and French school of technique
Class experience
This course will combine French and Italian techniques used by Soloists to give my students the best start. These 6 lessons will include the following: Week 1: Technique for Harp Playing -Using second finger articulation. Second finger scale and a well known simple melody. Week 2-consolidating second finger and adding the thumb. Exercises to help articulation, and linking this in with a piece. Week 3-Using third finger. Students will learn how to articulate each finger, and how to use finger preparation on the harp. Students will aim to play a few short pieces. Students will learn how to play the harp with a combined technique used by soloists. They will gain musical and listening skills.
Homework Offered
Practice the exercises away from the harp and then applying to the harp. To practice a piece taught in the lesson.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

In this course,my students will require a small 20 or more strung lever harp. Betty Paret Harp book 1
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
