Identify the parts of an atom Describe the forces that hold the particles of atoms together Define atomic number and mass number Describe ions and isotopes Identify the particles called quarks
3 different color soft candies- 6 in each color (gummy candies, dots, gum drops, and marshmallows work well) 3 Pipe cleaners - one color Toothpicks Paper plate Glue or tape Scissors
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
