Description
Class Experience
Kids reach an age when they become fascinated with their bodies and the bodies of others. This course will help them better understand the similarities and differences between tissues, organs, and organ systems. In this 8 week introductory course, learners will take a look into the human body and reveal all the hidden wonder that’s underneath the surface. Learners will have fun while discovering tissue, organs, and organ systems inside the body. They will develop a basic understanding of the form, function and location of these systems.
I have been a K-12 Teacher for 17 years with a focus in science and science education. I have taught online for the last 4 years.
There is no assigned homework for this class but they may need to finish an activity from class.
Worksheets and a Supply List will be sent out a week before each unit. General supplies include: Pencil, Crayons/Colored Pencils, Scissors, Tape, Glue Sticks.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be no formal assessment in this class.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Human body systems will be discussed. Scissors are required for cutting activities. Safety scissors are always recommended.
