In this class, we will study and see real insects. We will learn about the characteristics of an insect, where they live, how they move, and what they eat. We will discuss different insects we see near our homes. We will look at pictures, videos, and real insects to answer questions and promote curiosity. We will also move like some of the insects that we learn about. The students will be encouraged to draw an insect they have learned about. This class has movement, conversation, and uses a...
Students will have a beginning knowledge of different insects. They will be able to discuss insect facts such as where they live, how they move, and what they eat.
Optional: Draw an insect you learned about or one that you see around your home.
One piece of white computer paper and a pencil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some young students might do best with parental help. :)
