The text will be on varied types of genres such as: Realistic Friction, Fiction, and Informational Texts. The Guided Lessons will be presented through the skills-based model of instruction. The lessons reflect a range of the Reading Literature, common core state standards for their current grade level. The components of each lesson include a preview of the text and review of specific vocabulary related to text and phonemic awareness. A specific reading skill such as questioning and inferring and a reading strategy or ways to help the reader achieve the reading goal.
