Play, build, and create... all from your imagination! This interactive experience is designed for creative children ages 6 to 12! In my opinion, The Gingerbread Man story has a TERRIBLE ending...so let's rewrite it and play along the way! This interactive experience is self-paced! No rush, no fuss, no hassle! Access content anytime, from anywhere. Materials: Legos, blocks, cubes, or household items to play and create with. Innovation Studio Workbook (will be provided) Paper for drawing Pen/Pencil Markers/Crayons/Colors Access to a laptop, tablet, or phone **NOTE: Learners may choose to create their own gingerbread themed stories while taking this course (for example the gingerbread car, the gingerbread cat, the gingerbread tree etc. let your imaginations run wild)
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to think critically about a story, problem solve, and creatively design a new ending! Learners will have the option to turn their creation into a digital story to share with friends and family!
Syllabus
7 Lessons
over 1 WeekLesson 1:
Introduction
Share your knowledge about the gingerbread man story and create artwork!
Lesson 2:
Design
Design your gingerbread man using legos, blocks, cubes, or household materials.
Lesson 3:
Story
Use your creation to act out the story. Listen to the story with a critical ear... how can we design a different ending?
Lesson 4:
Research
Visit the virtual classroom to research the gingerbread man. Use your discoveries to help you think of a new and better ending!
