In this ongoing class I will be using the Inktober challenge official prompt list as starting point for teaching drawing and allowing learners to share their previous work and future ideas. Inktober is a well-known online challenge which assigns a prompt for each day of the month (see below). Learners will be able to use this list as a daily challenge, bringing the results of their inspired drawings to share in class each week. Each session will allow time for learners to share their work...
Although the challenge includes a daily prompt, learners are not required to complete every prompt - they can choose based on their interests throughout the week, or if time is limited, just join in for the topics linking with the day of the class. The list of prompts for the week will be shared at the end of each class, so learners can choose to complete prompts between classes. Completing drawings between classes is encouraged, but not compulsory for a successful class experience!
Pencils and black ink pens. Paper or sketchbook. Eraser and sharpener.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The October prompts are inspired by Inktober which can be seen at www.inktober.com The future prompts will be created specifically for the class, and include requests from learners.
