Description

Class Experience

This is a flex class. There will be no live meetings during this class. This course takes place for four weeks. Students will focus on informative writing in this course. This is an introductory course on how to write an informative paragraph. Students will write a topic sentence, three facts, and an ending sentence for each informative paragraph. Students will learn informative writing. They will use a graphic organizer to brainstorm and will write their own informative writing.

Students will write three times a week. They will also share their writing with someone at home.

For each writing prompt, students will need the following materials:
- Graphic Organizer (This will be posted in the classroom.)
- Pencil
- Notebook or Writing Paper
- Crayons (These are optional.)
- Device
- Access to the Nearpod website or Nearpod App

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
