This class is taught in English.
1. Students will be able to identify the 5 informational writing structures. 2. Students will be able to use each of 5 structures within their own writing.
Homework Offered
Homework for this class will be to do light research for our independent writing day each week. Miss Kaylee will provide topic choices in class for students to choose from. Students must submit their work via private messages, so that it can be evaluated. Students will have class time to finish their writing, however, if they do not finish it during class, it will be expected that it is submitted no later than the FRIDAY of the given week, by 4 pm EST. For example, if class meets on Monday, August 28th and Wednesday, August 30th, unfinished work should be submitted no later than Friday, September 1st at 4 pm EST1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
There is no true assessment for this class. However, each time a student submits a piece of work, they can expect to get a note back from Miss Kaylee, following her evaluation of the assignment. This note would include areas of strength within their writing piece, as well as areas that they could strengthen for the future.Grades Offered
1. Pencil/Pen 2. Notebook (However, if preferred, students may use laptop/iPad/tablet to do their writing. Tech rules and expectations will be addressed the first day of class.) 3. Any sheets provided by Miss Kaylee (Will be posted in the classroom, please print ahead of class time.)
