I will teach this course live and in real-time. I teach very personally and conversationally while utilizing an organized Slides projection on screen. I promote the use of "I do", "We do," "You do" approach to learning, especially in practicing of new skills. Teacher expertise and credentials
I currently am in my 12th year as a professional educator. I reside in Wisconsin with my family, which include 4 boys! I have been blessed with the ability to teach in both urban and rural areas, big classes (30 students) and small (4 students) as well as taught Kindergarten (5 years) and now serving back to Middle school (4 years).
I hold a Lifetime Educator license from the state of Wisconsin and graduated with honors from Wisconsin Lutheran College. I hold certification in Elementary education, Language Arts (English and Literature) and Middle Childhood/Early adolescent education.
After my Bachelors, I worked in the Graduate School at Wisconsin Lutheran College and obtained my Online Teaching Certification. I currently am also pursuing an Mentoring Certification through the New Teacher Institute with Martin Luther College. I love being able to work with new teachers' in improving their classroom practices right out of college. It also allows me to learn some newer techniques to add into my own classroom practices.
I firmly believe that it is my role to instill a love of learning to each of my students. I view every way I teach with the thought: "If this was my child, what would I want them to come home and say about this lesson?" I also believe the strongest learning steams from passion and interest, so it my personal goal to instill that drive to learn and do more in each of my students through how I teach, how I interact, and how I create equitable instruction for each of students. No student is alike needs to use his or her unique gifts and abilities to help guide their learning. It is my role to help them see and utilize those gifts in each subject they are learning.
