Description
Class Experience
***Enroll in one of the available class times, and day/times can be adjusted afterward to fit your schedule. OR contact me directly to schedule a day/time in advance.*** I will work with each student in one-on-one consultations, to write a polished statement or short responses on college applications. This class is most suitable for students applying to selective or elite colleges. 3 INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS: Individualized tutoring looks different for each student, but here is a typical...
The student will complete a polished college application essay, including several rounds of drafting and revising.
I teach college writing courses, and also provide writing consultations for high school, college and professional learners. I have also served as a reviewer for multiple scholarships and awards. Writing can sometimes be a source of frustration or anxiety, and many learners do not like to share their writing with others. I break down the process of writing into concrete, manageable steps, and I see my role as a guide who comes alongside the learner to develop their confidence and skills.
After each class, the student should plan to spend 1-3 hours to write or revise their writing.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
