Class Experience
This class is designed to be a one on one session that is adapted to meet the needs of learners to help them become a better reader and writer. Our first class together, I will give learners a diagnostic assessment to find out what their strengths and weaknesses are when it comes to reading and writing. This will help me know what specific skills to pinpoint and work with learners on in future sessions in order to help them grow. Our first class will also have some rapport building included, so that learners and I can start to develop a relationship. Relationships are very important in order for learning to occur. Learners are free to schedule as many sessions as they would like. Possible skills to target: Phonological Awareness Phonics (letter names and sounds, CVC, digraphs, blends, silent e, multisyllabic words) High Frequency Words Comprehension Skills Writing
