This one time class will focus on analog clocks. I will teach the student how to read and say the time. What time is it? It's a half past one. Let's have some fun!
Class experience
I will be teaching a learner what an analog clock is. The will learn the hour, minutes, and seconds on a clock. They will learn how to read, write and say what the time is. I will assess their understanding throughout the lesson. I will have a visual aid to teach them this lesson. They will need to have either paper and pencil or dry erase board with dry erase marker to show me the time and positions of the hands. Depending on the learner, I may schedule more lessons a child that is struggling.
The student will know how to recognize and recite the correct time. They will be able to understand how tom say a quarter after, half past, and a quarter til.
