Class Experience

Classes will cater to each students' individual level and needs. The student will learn basic conversational Spanish through learning fun and relevant vocabulary, and phrases, followed by some basic grammar. My teaching style varies depending on the needs of the student. As this is your private tutoring session, I will structure the class based on the parents' preferences.

Here is a sample course format:

Basic Introductions - we will work on conversation skills going over typical intro conversations. Vocabulary will depend on the level of the students enrolled. Typically, this will be - greetings, asking about how people are doing and ways to express themselves. It also includes asking for peoples' names, their ages and saying goodbye.

Building upon the Intro! We will move into likes and dislikes. [Me gusta, No me gusta, Me encanta] Depending on the levels we may start to build in more vocabulary here around verbs and activities your children like to do.

More about likes and dislikes. We will move into verbs and what your kids like to do and reinforce what they enjoy - swimming, reading, playing, running, cooking, etc. We will solidify their ability to ask their partners questions on what they like to do and get them comfortable expressing their hobbies.

Reinforcing Vocabulary. We will build upon the likes and dislikes, expressing emotions and build comfort around fluency - how to ask for words - what things mean [que es una ventana? (for example)]

Learning Goals

Students will be more confident in responding and understanding Spanish, expressing their likes and dislikes in Spanish and engaging in authentic basic conversation.
