4 in-class hoursClass Experience
This class is designed for those who would like to participate in one-on-one learning or tutoring. After the initial meeting and assessment with the student, I will create lessons and activities based on the skills they need to become better readers and writers! Each class will be focused on a phonics skill based on the student's reading level and individual needs. The learner with complete activities with the teacher to practice the new skill and then apply it to their own reading and writing. Because writing is the hands-on version of reading, it will naturally be combined into all lessons. We will also work on reading comprehension, fluency, grammar rules, context clues, and reading with expression. If you would like to meet regularly, we can schedule multiple sessions at one time. If you would like different times than those listed, please reach out to me and we will create a schedule that works for all of us.

I am particularly passionate about children's literacy and recognize that being a skilled reader and critical thinker lays the foundation for lifelong learning.
My experience in education ranges from preschool to high school in various subjects through traditional classroom settings and private tutoring, online and in-person. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University's College of Education and Human Development.
You will find a little bit of everything in my courses! Whether they focus on reading, science, math, or other subjects, I provide a safe and nurturing space where learners can take risks, be challenged, and develop the knowledge and skills they need to excel. I am dedicated to creating engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that every student feels seen, valued, and supported.
In addition to group classes, I also offer individual tutoring to provide personalized support to students who need it for any reason. This can include homework help, lessons over a specific topic, assistance in filling gaps in learning, enrichment, or test prep and study skills. If you're interested in this and don't see a desired time listed, please don't hesitate to reach out to me so we can find a schedule that works for both of us.
I am thrilled to be a part of your child’s educational journey. Thank you for being here!
