I offer cello lessons to all levels and ages between 7-14. The students are not required to have knowledge about music. If you have never played the cello, we will start by learning the structure of the instrument and the musical notation. One can not play a musical instrument not knowing the music theory. If the student it not familiar to it, especially with musical notation, I will allocate a few minutes of each lesson to explain it in details. Short after, we will start learning holding...
Through satisfactory completion of the lessons, the students will: - will be able to identify the cello parts - will be able to hold the cello properly and have a comfortable posture - Will have a proper left hand posture, proper finger's position - Will have a proper right hand posture, and be able to hold the bow - Will be able to play different bow strokes - Will learn the concept of bow distribution - Will learn the string crossing - Will be able to play with clear intonation and rhythm - Will be able to play songs in different style
Evaghelina has have more than 5 years of teaching experience. She thought in various music academies such as : KC Music Academy, Metropolitan Strings Academy, Queen City Music Studio, and Cincinnati School of Music. Evanghelina has thought cello to all levels to all ages. Her students participated in various recitals and competitions. Evanghelina received her Bachelor and Master's Degree in Music Education, and currently is pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Musical Arts.
I will assign the songs that needs to be practiced between the lessons. Also, I encourage students to practice 15-30 min a day.
Cello and Bow
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
