Sometimes, a learner needs that “extra help session” to solidify understandings of math concepts they are currently studying. As a certified math teacher with 36 years of experience, I can offer that additional support to the learner on an “as needed” basis. Tutoring can be offered for math concepts studied at grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. One class or a series of one-time classes will be scheduled at a time which is convenient to both the learner and teacher. Depending upon what kind of support is needed, class time can be used to: - Answer questions and review concepts - Practice additional problems - Re-teach and build foundational understanding of concepts (Please note: I do offer an "Ongoing, subscription series" version of tutoring in a different listing.) To make a tutoring appointment, please send a message with the following information: 1) The grade level and a description (or a picture) of the math concept which we will target. 2) The number of sessions you anticipate needing (of course, this can be revised as we go) 3) A couple of choices of day and time (including your time zone) that are convenient to the learner. 4) The age of the learner A discount is offered to learners who have previously taken classes with me.
