In this weekly class your child can expect to learn how to play the FLUTE with enjoyment and ease, as well as learn the fundamentals of music. Students will learn how to play the flute with a beautiful sound, rhythm accuracy, and musicality.
Homework Offered
Students will be expected to practice regularly. The time they will be asked to practice will depend on their level, but all students can expect to commit to practicing 5 times a week. For beginners, the practice time will start from 15 minutes/5 days a week. And, for late beginners, and intermediate learners, between 25-45 minutes.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learner progress is assessed by me every month, and monthly progress reports will be provided to the parent at their request.Grades Offered
Students will need a flute in working condition. Some recommended brands are Yamaha, Jupiter, Azumi, Pearl, Gemeinhardt. Please check with me if your flute model is acceptable for lessons. Generally the models offered in US music stores (even if they are not then ones I mentioned above) are okay. ❗️Please, please do not get the $60-70 flutes from Amazon!!!! They are not real instruments, but "instrument-looking objects". They are very low quality. By choosing to save money and getting one of those very cheap flutes, you will be setting up your learner for failure and discouragement. They will really struggle being able to play well with those cheap flutes, and may even want to quit flute altogether, because of that. Please , please get them a good quality student model flute! 🙏🏻😊
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The student will be asked to purchase a method book for the flute classes, as recommended by teacher.
