The race is on...... "Indiana Jones dangled from the rope, twisting slowly over the pit. He thrust out a sputtering torch to inspect the pit's cracked and splintered walls. I have taught history (A.P./GCSE/A-Level/I.B.) for the last thirty years and absolutely love the subject. I firmly believe the RPGs in a 'real' historical setting are one of the best ways to teach students about the time period. Through immersing the student in the clothing, sayings, transportation, events of that period and giving them the chance to explore with their fellow adventures their innate imagination within this setting will see them learn more than by just reading a book or watching a documentary.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
This is an action-adventure role playing game within the theme of the Indiana Jones movies. As a role playing game it will follow the Three Pillars of Adventure: Role Playing, Exploring, and Combat. The emphasis on this immersive RPG is on problem solving, critical thinking, and role playing whereas combat is part of every adventure it is not the main theme. Students will require a (free) Roll20 account to fully participate in this adventure.
