We will learn about Krishna, and how Janmashtami (Krishna's Birthday) is celebrated in India in a fun & engaging way. It is on Aug 18 this year. The class will alternate between learning kid-friendly cultural concepts around Krishna in a non-religious way, and dancing to upbeat Bollywood music. My approach to teaching is very interactive. This class is taught in English.
The main goal of this class is to get kids excited about celebrating festivals, learning about cultural traditions through movement. We will learn active dance moves to upbeat Bollywood music along with understanding the significance of the festival of Janmashtami - which celebrates Krishna's Birthday (Aug 18, 2022). The class also aims at achieving basic coordination, rhythm, and memory. Younger kids will be able to perform the dance with help, older kids should be able to dance by themselves!
