Fluency rates will be tracked during each session.Class Experience
US Grade 2 - 7
The first session will focus on identifying your child’s reading level and interests and establishing a parent-teacher-student relationship. During the following sessions, the teacher will use an evidence-based strategy to increase reading fluency for all learners (rate, accuracy, prosody). If you would prefer to use the first session discussing your child and specific needs, please send a message. I am happy to make changes to the original plan. Each session will have the following routine: 1. Quick check-in to build positive teacher/student relationship 2. Choose a story 3. 1st time read (1 minute) 4. Complete reading activity 5. Final timing (1 minute) A graph will be used to keep track of student progress over time. *This class is not ideal for students who are still sounding out quite a few words. If your child needs phonics support, please let me know. I will happily create an individualized plan and class to assist with reading growth. *Also note that class content and process is based on each individual learner. Therefore, it may be changed as I get to know the student. Please contact me through my business website for reduced pricing and class options not available through Outschool. https://impactliteracytutoring.tutorbird.com/home (Copy and paste URL into browser)
Learning Goals

Learning Needs
This class is designed to support unique learning needs. Every child is unique, therefore supports will be added based on the individual. As a parent, if there are strategies you know work best for your child, please let me know!
Parental Guidance
There will not be upsetting class content. Content is based on student interests.
I am a firm believer that parent support helps a student grow with their reading. Therefore, as a parent, you are more than welcome to attend the meetings with your child.
