#superstar LinkedIn is the most powerful social media platform for helping students achieve their college and career goals. You will learn how to create a professional LinkedIn profile, showcase your accomplishments with work samples, and start to build a network of people who can help you increase college acceptances and find jobs and internships & jobs. High school students can include a link to their LinkedIn profiles on college applications, impressing admissions officers with their professionalism and making their accomplishments come to life! Creating a LinkedIn account is free. All you need is an email account and this class to get started.. Here's why learning how to use LinkedIn now will give you an edge: * Include your profile link on college and job applications and stand out from other applicants *"Follow" colleges and companies to show your interest and stay informed on latest news. *Connect with alumni, admissions counselors, and potential employers *Find job and internship opportunities that may not advertised. * Employers and recruiters use it to find candidates like you for jobs they want to fill. * If anyone “googles” your name, your LinkedIn profile will show up in the search results. front of the interviewer(s). *You control what’s on your profile so it’s a chance for you to impress!! This class is interactive and I will use examples and video clips to illustrate profile tips, LinkedIn etiquette, and networking techniques. I will demonstrate how to create an account and input into the LinkedIn template during class.
