25 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
If your child shows an interest or love for music, this class is for them! Class is structured the same way because little learners thrive on routine and predictability! We will learn music concepts including but not limited to: Pitch, melody, tempo, dynamics, rhythmic patterns, using different vocal sounds, body percussion, and exploring found and environmental sounds. I structure my class with all learning styles in mind! We follow a visual schedule and will have these general "anchor" activities: --Hello song with ukulele --Movement songs --Instrument Activity --Singing songs --"Calm Body" Activity --Goodbye song: We sing goodbye to each friend and work on transitioning out of class. No previous music experience is necessary! My goal is to engage each child and encourage and foster their love of music. *I am certified by the State of Maryland to teach BOTH Music K-12 and Special Education. I have 6 years of experience teaching music in an early childhood special education setting.
