In this one time class, students will learn how to make Homemade Pumpkin Pie. This is perfect for Thanksgiving because it isn't the same without one. This class is open to other ages, as well. During class, I will provide a step-by-step process from beginning to end. We will learn how to measure ingredients and what order to mix them together. This provides both science and math skills that are important not only in daily life but also in the kitchen. While the pies are in the oven, we will discuss what we are thankful for. Throughout the class, I will instill safety tips and what to do and not to do in the kitchen that can help prevent accidents. No baking experience needed just a readiness to learn and have fun. Feel free to reach out if no class times work for you! In the materials section below, you can find a list of ingredients needed. Please have all the ingredients out and ready to go for class. Note: The Pumpkin Pie will take longer to bake than the class time but all that needs to be done is take it out of the oven, let cool and enjoy! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For class policies, please see About Me section in my profile!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Florida
I love cooking and baking! I have been doing both for over 15 years. I started out helping my mom and dad make meals. My sister and I used to have cooking shows and pretended to have our own restaurant. Currently, I am a mom of 2 boys and am always making something in the kitchen. Like all kids, they go through picky stages and I have to get creative. I love experimenting with new recipes and baked goods. I have a lifestyle blog where I occasionally release recipes, as well.
