In this one time class, learners will enjoy an original story entitled “In My Backyard” In this story you follow a little girl as she describes all the different things she’s seen in her backyard. She’s very imaginative and so the story gets pretty silly. The learners will then be asked to share what they imagined she would find in her backyard next. Each student will get lots of opportunity to express their creativity. Next learners will take the best ideas and create pictures to match on one of two provided drawing pages included as a printable. The students will be encouraged to write down some of their story ideas on the lined story paper also provided. This is a great way to get a learners creative ideas flowing.
