I am Licensed Master Social Worker and behavioral health professional. I have worked in schools, counseling children and helping them to learn behaviors that will improve their lives and the lives of those who love them. The subject matter of this class is close to my heart. My greatest joy is helping children to achieve happiness and confidence through strengthened relationships.
Homework Offered
Activities and discussion questions are embedded in Nearpod as part of the lesson. These activities will help students synthesize and retain the information they are learning.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Student quiz scores and responses are visible to me, but in a class such as this one, the focus is not on being "correct", but on personal growth and development. When a student is off base and not understanding the material, I gently guide them with questions to help them think more deeply.Grades Offered
Each week, a new link to view that weeks lesson will be posted in the classroom. Handouts and worksheets will be provided in the classroom to help children continue their practice of emotional identification and control. They can be completed with a drawing tool in Nearpod or printed to use as a hard copy.
