The goal of this class to teach the basics of self-esteem and confidence. We will learn what positive self talk and positive affirmations are. We will discuss how to use positive affirmations daily to improve self worth and confidence. Learners will have an opportunity to journal positive affirmations that they can practice using daily. Learners will be encouraged to get creative with their journal activity and we will discuss how art and journaling can be a positive coping skill. At the end...

I am a licensed therapist and I have specialized in working with children, teens, and families for the last seven years. I have experience teaching mental health wellness classes in both a school and clinical setting. While I am a licensed therapist I will never be conducting therapy with your child. These classes are for educational purposes only and are not a substitute for therapy.
Students will need a journal or blank sheet of paper. Students will also need crayons, markers, or pens.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
