This four-class course will build on the skills learned in my single introductory class "Improve Your Writing and Editing: Dissecting Sentences With Speed | Basics". We will cover more sophisticated and complex sentence parts and patterns. I believe in learning through doing! There will be instruction, but students will be spending most of the class dissecting sentences. Although students will become more familiar with the elements of grammar, this is not a theoretical grammar class. The...
This class is taught in English.
At the end of this course, students will be able to confidently and quickly dissect almost any type of sentence, giving them the tools to better analyze their own sentences. We will also touch on some introductory techniques to remedy awkward sentences.
After each class, students will be given a PDF of exercises that will further ingrain the material and skills learned in each class.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
