Public speaking is an essential skill for success, and one that creates a great deal of apprehension for many people. Practice the material learned in this course to gain confidence in your public speaking abilities. Even if you do not plan on giving any speeches in public as such, the same skills learned here can be applied to situations such as job interviews, and the age group that is recommended for this class is at the stage in their lives where they are likely to be going for their first ever job interviews in the foreseeable future. Get the edge on your competition for the position by improving your public speaking skills so as to communicate the best version of you that you can! Day 1: Why develop public speaking skills? Day2: Define your message; Day 3: Plan your message structure; Day 4: Engage your audience with stories; Day 5: Say it with style! Day 6: Easy Powerpoint (or Google Slides) Principles; Day 7: Deliver with confidence; Day 8: Present your 1-minute speech to your peers, and likewise review your peers.
Learning Goals
In this multi-day course, students will learn the skills that are necessary for every great public speaker to have, and then they will practice their newfound skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

As a lawyer, the deciding factor of a case presented to the Court may not be the evidence, or at least, not just the evidence; it may be how well you speak, and how confident you appear.
