Description
Class Experience
Learning how to write well can be a difficult subject to learn because it requires a lot of effort and consistent practice and revision. The purpose of this four week course is to help learners get comfortable with writing different types of essays that will be expected of them in their academic career. Each week learners will review a mode of writing and have an opportunity to submit a final copy of the essay for detailed feedback on how to improve their writing skills. I encourage students...
Students will learn and follow the steps in the writing process. Students will learn the elements of argumentative, expository, descriptive and narrative essays. Students will be to write introductions with an engaging hook and a three-point thesis. Students will be able to construct well-developed paragraphs with clear topic sentences and smooth transitions. Students will gain an understanding of the importance of reviewing written work for conciseness, clarity, and grammar.
I have nine years of experience teaching composition to learners of all ages.
Students will submit final drafts of their typed essay within one week after class ends. All submissions submitted on time will receive feedback.

The learner is assessed through written feedback of each assignment submitted.
