Each class will begin with a quick review of what improv is & the rules of improv. Then we will jump into playing improv games until time runs out! Below is a list of improv games we will be playing in class. As time goes on and I learn more games to play, I will add them to the list. Because of time restraints, we will not have time to play all the games listed, but we will play get to play a few! Improv Games: - What are you doing? - One Word Story - Switch Game - Yes Let's! - Yes And - Scenes from a Hat - World's Worst - Gibberish - The Sign Language Game & many others! I am so excited to be teaching this class! I have been taking improv classes for years and I am currently a level 2 improv student. I love that improv teaches you how to think on your feet and not overthink what you are doing while being a comic relief. Improv is so much fun and I cannot wait to play all these games with my students!
Learning Goals

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Catherine! :) It is so nice to meet you!
I love to teach! I have been a teacher for over 8 years teaching all ages (3-65+) how to swim, read, write, apply make up, and more. The past 2 years, I have been teaching English to students online. I love the online world of teaching and I am so excited to offer my expertise on Outschool!
I believe learning should be fun, exciting, and interactive so that is exactly what I like to bring to the classroom! My classes are engaging and interactive so my students and I can connect and have fun while learning. My philosophy is if the class is more fun, then the student will remember the lesson longer.
I have been a Make Up Artist for over 6 years doing make up for formals, parties, dances, and weddings. Make up is so much fun and can really accentuate your features helping you build confidence and feel beautiful. I want to teach those who are new to make up how easy and fun it can be and how to have achieve a flawless finish!
Besides make up and teaching, I love to travel! I have lived abroad for multiple months in France and the Philippines. I have also visited Ireland and Mexico with plans to explore Africa and more of Europe later this year. I also have a 15 pound cat named Sasha! I don't think she misses me while I'm off traveling (you know how cats are)... but I like to think she does!
I am so excited to be here and teach! See you in my classroom! :D
