Class experience

By the end of this lesson, each student will have a better understanding of the basic rules of Improv, how to work with another person, and how to use their voice and project.
Lacey Cannon (She/Her) is an Arts Educator based in Central Texas. Since beginning with Creative Action in 2018, she has taught classes for students about Theatre, Improv, Story Telling, and Makeup Design. Lacey has served on the board of local theatre companies as Artistic Director and producer, been a contributing writer for BroadwayWorld Austin, and a second round screenplay finalist for the Austin Film Festival. When she’s not teaching, Lacey enjoys cooking, reading, and cuddling with her 12 yr. old cat, Binx.
A space to move around.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
In order to have fun and be safe during this class, I recommend :

- Wearing clothes that allow you to move around
- Wearing shoes/sneakers. I would not recommend sandals! Sandals make it easier for you to trip when performing!
- Having an area in your house where you can move around safely. We don't want you to run into or hit or break anything.
- Always have water! You will be using your voice and body, and you must stay hydrated. While this isn't a "sport" it does require moving around.
