This class is for students of ALL levels-- no experience required. Improv cultivates great skills for actors and non-actors alike! All learners need in this class is a space to move, a willingness to try new things, and the goal of having fun! At the start of class, we will learn what improv is and the most important rule of improv. We'll also participate in some fun theater warm-ups to make sure our bodies, voices, and minds are ready to play. Then, we'll spend most of the class playing fun acting and theater games meant to practice the necessary skills of improv. These games are designed to develop team-building, public speaking, storytelling, listening, and quick-thinking skills. Learning Goals
Students will learn what improv is and how to be a successful improv performer. They will develop important life-skills such as working as a team, active listening, thinking creatively, and story-telling.
