Class Experience

**PLEASE NOTE:** This class requires on-screen participation, if this class format is not possible for your student to do with other other learners, please inquire about private improv tutoring.

Week One: Characters
• We will practice crafting new and innovative characters with specific points of view off the tops of their heads.
Week Two: Spacework
• We will practice the art of pantomime and specificity within our movements, which will help create realism in scenes. This will boost memory and detail oriented storytelling.
Week Three: Relationships
• We will do exercises to create on-the-spot shared experiences between characters. Students will learn to create history within scenes that are driven by emotion, as well as recognizing patterns as a team.
Week Four: Advanced Narrative
• We will heighten and explore all the skills we have learned since level one in scenes and games. Plus, everyone will get an end of session confidence boost with compliments from everyone in the class!
Learning Goals
Students will be confident improvisers, able to collaborate with any person or teammate. They will come out feeling funny, creative, and with a passion for discovery. This class is full of laughter which is critical for a child's development as well as mental clarity and well being. They'll be able to see options and trajectories and boost their understanding of empathy and different points of view. Plus, they'll feel like a comedic rock star.
