In our personalized 1:1 iMovie lesson, students will learn the essential skills to confidently edit videos for school projects, social media, or even their own YouTube channel. Throughout the session, students will explore the core functions of iMovie, including importing footage, cutting and arranging clips, adding transitions and effects, working with audio, and exporting polished videos.

Each session is tailored to the student’s needs and skill level, with sessions focused on building their expertise step by step. We’ll work on hands-on projects, such as creating YouTube-ready content, or editing a personal project they’re passionate about. By the end of the session, your student will have a strong foundation in video editing

I teach through a combination of live demonstrations, interactive editing exercises, and collaborative feedback. Whether your learner is a complete beginner or has some experience with editing software, our session will give them the confidence and tools to bring their video ideas to life. They’ll walk away with not only the ability to edit professional-quality videos but also the knowledge to produce content for platforms like YouTube, where they can share their work with the world.

Learning Goals

Gain a foundational understanding of iMovie, including importing, editing, and exporting video and audio to create polished, professional-quality projects
Develop the confidence to independently edit videos, troubleshoot common challenges, and experiment with creative techniques like transitions, effects, and sound design to enhance their projects
