All classes will be scaffolded accordingly to ensure learners continue to grow and build confidence their French skills.

Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
The class will give students the opportunity to learn key concepts in French over the course of a year. This is the third of 4 sessions for year long French content instruction. Each week there will be a different French topic or grammar concept covered permitting new French speakers to continue with new material every week.

This class will be taught primarily in English, however based on the learner engagement and comprehension the level of French in class will be scaffolded accordingly by class.

Immersive French 4 will be offered upon the completion level 3. Week to week learners will enhance their knowledge through interactive tools such as Kahoot, Quizlet, online videos and other relevant materials as required.

❓🙋‍♀️Not sure which level to register for? Book a 15 min online assessment with Teacher Michelle

❓🙋‍♀️ For the best group class experience, classes with less the 4 learners may be merged or rescheduled.

Learners will have the opportunity to join the oral/aural practice course (offered concurrently) to put their new skills into action weekly.

Each week there will be a specific grammar focus or verb to help learners understand the content. For example - past, present, using adjectives and spelling in French. When appropriate there will be a focus on appropriate proper French pronunciation.

The goal as the teacher for this class will be to:

✨To provide French instruction and introduce new concepts to budding French learners
✨ Build the skills of novice French learners in some fundamental concepts where they may need more support
✨ Build an interest in learning French language through simple clear, instruction that is fun and approachable. The goal is to build language retention and increase engagement through weekly class participation.
✨ Build supportive relationships with students to encourage their French skills and overall confidence.
