Week 1Lesson 1Parts of the House/HomeThis lesson will teach learners the different parts of a house or home .Week 2Lesson 2AnimalsMy lesson is about animals and how to say them in FrenchWeek 3Lesson 3Countries around the world and Colours in FrenchThis lesson will teach learners how to say some key countries, provinces and states along with learning the colours in French to describe their favourite flags.Week 4Lesson 4French adjectives and understanding accentsThis lesson will teach learners how to use adjectives in French along with the agreement necessary. The bonus lesson is how to use accents in French and the different sounds they make.Week 5Lesson 5The seasons & weatherMy lesson is about the seasons and weather and how to express the weather conditions in French. Learners will be given the opportunity to complete and interactive activity to describe the weather where they live.Week 6Lesson 6How to construct a sentence - parts 1 & 2My lesson is about How to construct a sentence in French. This lesson is a review from Immersive French 1 and a continuation with part 2 added for Immersive French 2 learners.Week 7Lesson 7Clothing in FrenchThis lesson will teach learners how to say key clothing items in French and incorporating colours and numbers from previous lessons they've learned to best express themselves and what they are wearing.Week 8Lesson 8Food and MealsThis lesson will teach learners some essential food items in French along with the corresponding meals.Week 9Lesson 9Questions and Food with Restaurant activityThis lesson will teach learners the different ways that we can ask questions in French in particular as it relates to food perhaps in a restaurant setting. - Students will learn the French essentials as a new learner of the language and build weekly skills and confidence to support their ability to join the weekly conversation class to practice their oral skills on the same subject matter.

Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: Depending on the lesson topic there will be homework week to week which may consist of activities to practice their oral comprehension skills. Some homework will be interactive to help learners prepare for an upcoming lesson. Learners can expect 30-45 minutes depending on the week to help them retain and practice. Google classroom will be used to support the students accessing lesson content for review.Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: There will be an introductory assessment to determine the skill level of the student so the lesson topics can be scaffolded accordingly or similar levelled learners. There will also be assessments of homework when submitted to the teacher by due date.
