Immersive French 2 is an opportunity for new French learners to begin or continue their French learning journey. Learners may only begin in Level 2 with an online skill assessment to ensure basics of Level 1 are mastered. #confidence

My lesson is about animals and how to say them in French

Countries around the world and Colours in French
This lesson will teach learners how to say some key countries, provinces and states along with learning the colours in French to describe their favourite flags.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
French adjectives and understanding accents
This lesson will teach learners how to use adjectives in French along with the agreement necessary. The bonus lesson is how to use accents in French and the different sounds they make.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
The seasons & weather
My lesson is about the seasons and weather and how to express the weather conditions in French. Learners will be given the opportunity to complete and interactive activity to describe the weather where they live.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
How to construct a sentence - parts 1 & 2
My lesson is about How to construct a sentence in French. This lesson is a review from Immersive French 1 and a continuation with part 2 added for Immersive French 2 learners.

Clothing in French
This lesson will teach learners how to say key clothing items in French and incorporating colours and numbers from previous lessons they've learned to best express themselves and what they are wearing.

This lesson will teach learners some essential food items in French along with the corresponding meals.

Questions and Food with Restaurant activity
This lesson will teach learners the different ways that we can ask questions in French in particular as it relates to food perhaps in a restaurant setting. The bonus activity is practice using the interactive script at a restaurant.

The past tense (passé composé) in French
This lesson will begin to teach learners how construct and use a form of past tense in French - passé composé.

  • Students will learn the French essentials as a new learner of the language and build weekly skills and confidence to support their ability to join the weekly conversation class to practice their oral skills on the same subject matter.

Details: Depending on the lesson topic there will be homework week to week which may consist of activities to practice their oral comprehension skills. Some homework will be interactive to help learners prepare for an upcoming lesson. Learners can expect 30-45 minutes depending on the week to help them retain and practice. Google classroom will be used to support the students accessing lesson content for review.
Assessment
Frequency: included
Details: There will be an introductory assessment to determine the skill level of the student so the lesson topics can be scaffolded accordingly or similar levelled learners. There will also be assessments of homework when submitted to the teacher by due date.
 1 file available upon enrollment
A list of learner French workbooks will be provided to registered learners. In some cases the recommended book may vary based on the French skills of the learners. Workbooks are available on Amazon
