**JOIN BY MAY 31ST AND RECEIVE $20 OFF COURSE FEE** The class will give students the opportunity to learn key concepts in French over the course of a year. This is the first of 4 sessions for year long French content instruction at a pace of 2 x per week. [NOTE: Included in the class fee is one 20 minute 1:1 which may be booked at a mutually agreeable time for additional support over the course of the 10 week program.] **Each week there will be a different French topic or grammar...

Week 1Lesson 1The French Alphabet & Class IntroductionMy lesson is about learning the distinct letter sounds in French and the pronunciation.Lesson 2Numbers in FrenchMy lesson is about learning the numbers in French from 1 to 100 with specific tips on how to recall some of the harder numbers in French.Week 2Lesson 3French articlesIn this lesson, learners will learn how to use articles in French to describe nouns and the importance of articles in French.Lesson 4School vocabularyLearners will learn some of the key vocabulary in the school or classroom room setting.Week 3Lesson 5Family and FriendsThis lesson will provide learners with the opportunity to learn the different members of their family and how to introduce the members of the family to their friends.Lesson 6Verbs - 1st & 2nd group - ER/IR and Masculine & FeminineMy lesson is about learning how to conjugate and use verbs in a sentence starting with the first group (ER) and 2nd group (IR). Learners will also have an additional lesson of understanding masculine/feminine in French.Week 4Lesson 7Verbs - 3rd group - RE and Avoir & EtreMy lesson is about learning how to conjugate ending in (RE)Lesson 8Sentences in FrenchMy lesson is about how to construct basic sentences in French and use of basic adjectivesWeek 5Lesson 9Days and months of the YearMy lesson is about how to say the days and months of the year in FrenchLesson 10Telling Time in FrenchMy lesson is about learning how to tell the basic time in French.
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn some of the basics of French to build knowledge to use actively in sentences and reading with regular, active class participation and weekly homework.
Homework Offered
Homework will be to watch the lesson videos approximately 2 per week prior to the LIVE class and prepare for class with completed homework as assisgned1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
