Class Experience

In this course,  students will enter different escape rooms in Minecraft Bedrock Creative mode, which will develop their ability to problem solve, work as a team and while learning some Math in some of the escape rooms.

Week of March1 to 5 - "Let's Make Water" - Students will learn the 2 elements that make water. Have a quick tutorial making water with a compound creator, then will be instructed to enter into the escape. They will get 30 mins to try to work as a team, problem solve with their classmates and use their new training skill-set to get them out in time. 

Week  of March 8 to 12 - " Ying and Yang" Students will navigate through a maze and make a heat block with chemisrty, can you figure out how to do it?

Week of March 15 to 19 - "You A- MAZE Us" Students will traveling around a maze trying to solve the math problem that will give them the code to open the door to leave the maze.

Week of March 22 to 26 - " Student will solve ciphers which will help them leave the room. This week you will NOT be playing in the world, but instructing me how to get out with your ciphers.

Week March 29th to April 2- "Words Are Problems" - Solve the word problems and observe carefully to find the codes, to get to the next key to open the next door. Can you read between the lines?

Week April 6th to 9th - "4 rooms- Can you get out of the 4 rooms. It might take you a few weeks.

Week 7 to 10 - Merlin's Motel - These are the rooms you have been working up to, can you be pushed in all your abilities in all things Minecraft. Can you mix the best potion, shoot the straightest arrow? In this motel, you will be tested to observe VERY carefully.

Regarding Minecraft:

Each student will need a Minecraft account. Class participants will be in my Minecraft Bedrock Edition world. Any version of Minecraft (PC/Mac computer, Minecraft for Windows10, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, or other gaming consoles, Minecraft PE for iPad, Android tablets, etc.) will work for this course. NOTE: JAVA is NOT supported in this platform.

 The purchase of Minecraft must be made separately and prior to the start of class. Students must also be signed into their Microsoft accounts, or xbox live account, in order to join my world.  Minecraft is a building tool for this course (think of it as digital building blocks). The lessons and information in this course are not official Minecraft products and are not associated with Mojang.

Parental Guidance
This class requires exchanging "gamertags", to enter the escape room world.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
