Course Title: Novel Study: "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis
Course Description: In this course, students will embark on an immersive journey through the enchanting world of Narnia as depicted in C.S. Discussion of literary devices: foreshadowing, imagery, symbolism
-Week 4 and 5 (March 26 & April 2): Chapters 5 - 8 The Chronicles of Narnia
Introduction to key locations in Narnia: the lamppost, Mr. Tumnus's house, Beaver's dam
Examination of allegorical elements: Aslan as a Christ figure, the White Witch as a symbol of evil
Discussion of character development: Edmund's betrayal, Aslan's sacrifice
-Week 6 and 7 (April 9 & 16): Chapters 9 - 12 Battle for Narnia
Analysis of themes: courage, loyalty, redemption
Exploration of the climactic battle scenes and their significance

Students will share individual projects, which may include:
